The thickness of the glass used in glass splashbacks for kitchens and shower areas is 6mm you should also note that when the adhesive is applied this will add 2mm, so if you are measuring for a return piece this needs to be deducted. See our how to measure guide. We can also provide glass thicker if required, we process glass from 4mm -19mm

Yes, we can drill and do cut outs for electrical sockets etc, however there are some strict rules regarding cut outs and drill hole
General Rules – Cut Outs in Toughened Glass
Socket cut outs have to be a minimum of 50mm in from the edge of glass and a minimum of 50mm away from each other.
Drill holes need to be a diameter of at least the thickness of the glass, these need to be positioned at least 1.5 x the diameter away from any edge or any other cut out.
The wall does not need to look pretty as our Coloured Glass is fully coated and you wont see through it, however any rough area will need sanding, if there are high points this can be disguised by using more adhesive, If the walls are newly plastered then they will need priming with a good emulsion or Uni-bond primer/sealer.
